Animal Tracks Preschool Program

Florida Rep’s Education Program is pleased to announce auditions for the second annual Theatre Conservatory for students ages 5-21. This 13-week audition-only program puts young actors onstage and is designed for young artists with moderate to advanced-level experience. Conservatory gives students an introduction to the professional world with a real-life regional theatre experience. The Conservatory Program features two shows, Willy Wonka Jr. by Roald Dahl (for ages 5-13) and Pippin by Stephen Schwartz (for ages 13-21). Auditions for Willy Wonka will be held on February 5th from noon -4 p.m. and 5-8pm. Aviation enthusiasts and history buffs will have the opportunity to tour or take flight in rare, historic World War II aircraft when the Collings Foundation brings its Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress “Nine-O-Nine” heavy bomber, Consolidated B-24J Liberator “Witchcraft” heavy bomber and North American Dual Control P-51C Mustang “Betty Jane” fighter to Page Field on Wednesday, Feb. 8 through Friday, Feb.10. The public is invited to take ground tours or make reservations for flight experiences. The planes will be displayed on the ramp at Base Ops at Page Field, off of Fowler Street. Walkthrough tours are available for a donation of $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12. World War II vets can tour the aircraft at no cost. Junior Fun Run

The Junior Fun Run is open to children in grades five and below.  Grades 4 & 5 run a mile, 3rd graders run three-quarters of a mile,  first and second graders run half a mile, kindergarten students run one-quarter mile, and students under 5 years old run 50-75 yards.  The Fort Myers Track Club helps to make this a fantastic active event for the children and many children run year after year! Junior Parade

Florida’s largest youth parade showcases the creativity and talents of hundreds of Southwest Florida children and their families.  Over 100 units including floats, marching bands, dancers, street performers, clowns and dignitaries parade their way around the Downtown Fort Myers.  The annual event has been taking place in SW Florida since the 1940s and gets better every year!  It’s old-fashioned family fun for participants and spectators.  A video of the Junior Parade can be ordered from Colorburst Productions, Inc. for $35.
