Looking Ahead to June Family Friendly Events
June is an exciting month! School is out …and now what!?? Many camps are starting along with several family friendly activities . Below are just a few fun events we found to highlight!
Seussical
Broadway Palm Children’s Theatre, 1380 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers
June 1 – 22
Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Join Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mayzie and more as they transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. Broadway Palm’s Children’s Theatre is fun for everybody! After each show, the cast stays on stage to answer questions from the audience. Immediately following each show, you’ll get to meet the cast when they sign autographs and take pictures in the lobby. 239-278-4422
School’s Out Party!
The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium, 3450 Ortiz Avenue, Fort Myers
Saturday, June 2 • 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Craft tables: summer themed shell painting, animal enrichment crafts, clay face making, recycled water bottle crafts. Games: three-legged race, water balloon toss, pine cone races, corn hole board, kids’ pie eating contest. Educational tables and more! General Admission $10. Kids under 13 are free. 239-275-3435

Admission to the Summer Movie Express is only $1. Tickets available for purchase at the box office. Each week both movies play on both days at 10 a.m.

Annie

June 28 – August 11
The classic musical about everyone’s favorite orphan and her dog Sandy will capture the hearts of audience members of all ages. As part of a publicity campaign for Oliver Warbucks, Annie and her dog Sandy are placed in the lap of luxury for a week. However, Annie’s stay turns out to be much more than anyone had bargained for as she works her way into everyone’s hearts! The only thing standing in her way is the cruel and bitter Miss Hannigan. 239-278-4422
