Santa’s Block Party Dec. 4; Festival of Trees Dec. 2 – 5
The 15th Annual Festival of Trees returns to the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in December.
Experience the tremendous trees decorated by local businesses to raise money for Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida and SBDAC, all taking place Dec. 2 – 5.
Experience one of the most sensational holiday traditions in Southwest Florida. Presented by Publix Super Markets Charities, Festival of Trees is a huge holiday event downtown where these beautiful trees are decorated and filled with presents by local businesses to help raise money for Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida and the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center.
‘Tis the season to get creative with one of SW Florida’s favorite local artists, Dharma Lefevre. This talented and quirky elf is going to present how to create a gorgeous wintery landscape. This is not like other paint parties, Dharma will be teaching color theory, how to translate landscapes and simplify what is seen to produce scenery with depth and soul! Each artist will be supplied with canvas, paint, brushes, and of course… wine. Sign up at www.sbdac.com/wine-and-paint/
All trees will be raffled (except the tree being donated to Golisano Children’s Hospital). Each raffle winner will be notified and receive the decorated tree, and all gifts beneath! This includes delivery and set up in your home or office. Raffle Tickets are $10 each or three for $25. The value of each tree along with all the presents beneath it is over $1,500. Admission is $2 for Festival of Trees Viewing (5 and under free.)
Santa’s Block Party
Plus, take part in the fun with the whole family at Santa’s Block Party. A not to be missed Festival of Trees favorite, Santa’s Workshop is an opportunity for kids to create holiday art, color Christmas and holiday cards, decorate yummy cookies from Publix Super Market, and kids will get to write letters to Santa and our military service members! Santa’s workshop admission is only $6 per child and includes one train ride! Additional train ride tickets may be purchased for $2 at the train depot.
