Wellness with Purpose accepting new patients

Southwest Florida native Carissa Tartaglia is accepting new patients at Wellness with Purpose where she offers personalized pediatric care.

Located at 9351 Corkscrew Road, suite 101 in Estero, Wellness with Purpose is a “Direct Primary Care” or “DPC” healthcare model.

“This means that we provide care directly to families for affordable flat fees, and avoid dealing with insurance (the middle man). We offer affordable monthly memberships (prices vary based on patient age), as well as services for non-members at affordable self-pay rates. DPC allows patients direct 24/7 access to the provider in case of urgent or emergent situations. There is no call center, no extended wait to be seen, no insurance kickback. We also accept unvaccinated patients and families who decide to deliver at home or in a birth center,” says Tartaglia.

She has 16 years of experience working in healthcare. Her first job was at a local birth center as a midwife assistant. She is also a trained doula. Tartaglia went on to pursue her master’s in nursing at Drexel University, where she received her degree as a pediatric nurse practitioner in 2017. Additionally, she completed a master’s in nursing at University of Cincinnati, where she received her degree as a family nurse practitioner in 2023.

“I am passionate about wellness and finding balance between traditional and holistic medicine. I feel there is a quickly growing need in SWFL specifically for personalized family care,” she adds.
