School Break camps are designed for students in grades K-5 when school is out. Simple Machines camp runs Dec. 22 – 23. Simple Machines engineering camp is focused on the six simple machines: wheel and axle, wedge, lever, screw, ramp, and pulley. Campers will engage in engineering challenges that relate to each simple machine. All activities demonstrate how each machine applies a mechanical advantage to make work easier. Designing the Future camp runs Dec. 27 – 30. In this design and innovation camp, campers will learn how to manage “the problem space” with an engineering design process. In addition to solving engineering challenges, campers will also learn simple computer aided design (CAD) and get to work with 3D printers and 3D pens. Register online.

Florida Repertory Theatre
Florida Rep Education is proud to offer a wide variety of performing arts classes for the community. These classes are designed for both beginners and serious young artists looking to continue to hone their craft. Classes are taught by working theatre professionals and class sizes are capped at 20 students to maximize individual attention. Classes for students ages 8-16 run for six-week sessions, while our Teen Programming is designed for busy schedules offering one-off master classes and events. Florida Rep’s Conservatory program is designed for young artists who want to pursue theatre. It offers young artists an introduction to the professional world with a real-life regional theatre experience providing a creative outlet that culminates with a professional of public performances.

Gulf Coast Symphony
MusicWorks! is an El Sistema inspired music education initiative that was launched by the Gulf Coast Symphony in August 2015. MusicWorks! promotes positive social change through music, and empowers youth to develop a strong sense of personal identity and community through musical literacy in an effort to empower each child to achieve their full potential. All students in MusicWorks receive instrument instruction Monday through Friday, totaling 7.5 hours per week during the school year. Youth music programs (first grade through high school) include jazz youth ensemble, youth orchestra and beginning strings. After school and weekend programs are available (beginner to advanced levels), and new classes start Jan. 17. Scholarships are available.

Growing Room Camp
Join us for our Winter Break camp at Growing Room Child Development Center of Southwest Florida in Bonita Springs and Fort Myers. 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. is $220 per week. An all-in-one holiday camp featuring sports, arts and crafts, education, entertainment, nature and, of course, friends. IMAG History & Science Center
IMAG STEAM Camps are bringing science, technology, engineering, art, and math to life for campers. What’s more, campers also get to choose two clubs to attend (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) for specialized activities in smaller group settings. IMAG STEAM Camps are scheduled for the first week of the winter break Dec. 26 through Dec. 30, and the second week Jan. 2 through Jan. 6.
