Festival of Trees Dec. 5 – 8 in Fort Myers

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida presents the 13th Annual Festival of Trees, a yearly fundraiser that has become a holiday tradition in Southwest Florida for thousands of families. This four-day event from Dec. 5 – 8 ushers in the holidays at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center located in the River District of Fort Myers.
New in 2019 … Festival of Trees is featuring indoor ice skating on a synthetic ice rink located right in the center of the glistening tree display. Open to the public throughout the event, skaters of all ages can enjoy a bit of that Rockefeller Center wintery feel right here in Southwest Florida. Skate with Big Mama from B-103.9 from 4 to 6 p.m. during his live remote on Friday, Dec. 6.
Throughout the Festival of Trees event, the public can view the trees, purchase raffle tickets, and vote for their favorites. Area businesses decorate the trees with a retail value in décor and gifts between $1,500 and $2,000. Many in the past have even surpassed those minimums!
On the last day of the event, one winning ticket from each tree raffle box is selected. The trees are then carefully wrapped with all their gifts and goodies and delivered to the winner’s home.
In addition to the tree raffle, Festival of Trees participants can enjoy the “Holiday Stroll” down First Street and official tree lighting by the Mayor, a free outdoor concert with the Nowhere Band, Santa’s Block Party including a holiday vendor showcase, food trucks, entertainment, pictures with Santa and a children’s’ workshop.
Santa’s Block Party is set for Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m to 3 p.m.
Tickets to the event can be purchased in advance at www.SBDAC.com. Raffle tickets can be purchased at www.GoodwillTrees.com.
