Open enrollment Jan. 17 to March 3 for Lee schools

The 2023-24 school year begins Aug. 10, 2023.

The last day for students will be May 31, 2024.

Thanksgiving break will be Nov. 20 – 24.

Winter break for students will be Dec. 25 – Jan. 5.

Spring break will run March 18 – 22.

The School District of Lee County accepts registrations for new students to the district year round, but it holds a student open enrollment period for the upcoming school year once a year.

Parents of incoming kindergarten, 6th or 9th grade students should register during student open enrollment.

Entering Elementary School

Student open enrollment dates for elementary students will be determined after proximity decisions are finalized. Parents should monitor the Student Enrollment website and your FOCUS Parent Portal account at leeschools.net.

Entering Middle and High School

School Choice Applications will be available for middle and high school students Jan. 17 to March 3 in the FOCUS Parent Portal. Parents without a FOCUS Parent Portal account can create one using the Focus Parent Portal. Paper applications are available to be completed and dropped off at student enrollment; receipt will be emailed to the parent through the portal.

  Parents can also register in person. The Student Enrollment Office for The School District of Lee County is open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Office is located at 2855 Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers.
