The BeatBuds on YouTube now, headed for Nickelodeon in 2021
Beloved by a large and devoted fan-base of Los Angeles area families – including an impressive list of celebrities who have invited them into their homes for birthday parties and music classes – The BeatBuds look forward to starring in their own animated preschool series on Nickelodeon, with production set to begin this summer and a 2021 premiere planned.
Kids around the world can join the fun right now to chase the pandemic blues away, as The BeatBuds help them find a routine, get up and move, and learn and play together in their hour-long “The BeatBuds Live” shows, streamed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:30 a.m. PT on The BeatBuds’ YouTube channel: HERE.
The BeatBuds offer an abundance of rockin’ songs, playful movement activities, arts & crafts projects, and stories, along with scavenger hunts, puppet shows, and even special pre-recorded segments that take kids on outdoor adventures.
Each day’s show has a different theme, including Mystery Mondays, when you never know what might happen, Wired Wednesdays, when The BeatBuds plug in to rock out, and Fan Fridays, when fans vote on what they want to hear. Every show is a fully interactive experience for the kids with The BeatBuds as their guides.
“We decided to go virtual to help kids and families regain some sense of normalcy during these challenging times,” explains The BeatBuds’ drummer, Matthew “Matty” Shapiro, a.k.a. Matty Maracas. “We’ve been a constant in so many children’s lives through the years.”
The BeatBuds’ guitarist, Jonathan “Jonny” Jonah, a.k.a. Jonny Jingles, adds, “Doing these live streamed shows is our way to maintain a reassuring presence for the kids while also allowing their parents a moment to take a deep breath and enjoy some quality, enriching, fun time as a family.”
While families are homebound, The BeatBuds are also offering CyberJam Birthday Parties, Weekly Music Sessions, Private Sessions. Birthday Greetings, and Special Events via Zoom.
The BeatBuds are best friends and musical partners who have been playing together since the age of six. Jonny and Matty focus on composing catchy, educational children’s songs that are a bit more contemporary than traditional children’s music, while maintaining a fun and lighthearted feel. Their creative tunes touch upon a multitude of cultural and societal topics including positive self-image, tolerance, health and hygiene, safety, and environmental consciousness. With a truly parent-friendly artistic approach, The BeatBuds’ music can aptly be termed “family” music. Among their toddler-approved hits are the songs “Gravity,” “Sam the Garbage Man,” “Hello to You All,” “Silly Monkey,” and “When the Rain Falls Down.”
