The Lee County Library System will open three additional branches on Monday, June 15. The eight open locations will operate at 50% capacity.

The Library System also invites all Lee County patrons to tune in daily for summer programming provided by Page Turner Adventures courtesy of the Southwest Florida Library Network. https://www.leegov.com/library/summer-reading-program

Branches currently open include:

·Cape Coral Lee County Library, 921 SW 39th Terrace

· East County Regional Library, 881 Gunnery Road N., Lehigh Acres

·Fort Myers Regional Library, 2450 First St.

·Northwest Regional Library, 519 Chiquita Blvd. N., Cape Coral

·South County Regional Library, 21100 Three Oaks Parkway, Estero

Opening Monday are:

·Bonita Springs Public Library, 10560 Reynolds St.

·Lakes Regional Library, 15290 Bass Road, Fort Myers

·North Fort Myers Public Library, 2001 N. Tamiami Trail

Hours at these locations are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday to Saturday. Curbside pickup will continue at all library locations. Patrons of Lakes Regional Library are encouraged to use caution in the parking lot and environs due to an ongoing construction project.

Signage is posted for following CDC guidelines and social distancing. Plexiglas shields are installed at all public service desks, and hand sanitizer and wipes will be provided to the public. The county has removed some furniture to encourage patrons to keep visits brief so that more patrons can enjoy the libraries.

Computer use is limited to two hours per person per day. Play items in the youth areas have been removed, as has gaming equipment in the teen areas. Study rooms and meeting rooms are not open at this time. Patrons are encouraged to sign up for the Imagine Your Story Virtual Summer Reading Program.
